MILPLAN is PC-based Military Planning software which combines the features of
- Structured, configurable step-by-step processes.
- A schedule planner with an interface familiar to Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Project users.
- A geographic display with powerful layering, feature and drawing elements.
Process Manager
The software supports a comprehensive range of military planning processes and options, including US Military Decision Making Process (MDMP), Australian Defence Force - Joint Military Appreciation Process (JMAP) and other military processes. It also provides the ability to either modify the existing processes or create an entirely new customised process to suit specific needs such as order format, counterinsurgency and other variants to MDMP, JMAP, etc.
Schedule
MILPLAN simplifies the planning and management of
Military Operations and tasks by combining the ease-of-use
of the Microsoft Outlook-like interface
with the power of the Gantt-style from Microsoft Project.
Unit schedules can be viewed in isolation, side-by-side with
other units or in a combined calendar view.
Geographic Information (GIS)
Critical to any Military Plan is a good appreciation of the geographic situation,
MILPLAN includes a powerful GIS component which provides the ability to display any
number of situational layers, and then include tactical features and details as required.
The software supports the full implementation of MIL-STD-2525B symbology to generate Geographic
Displays that are recognisable by military planners world-wide.
Output
Output templates allow the user to quickly generate Powerpoint or Word documents conformant
to their organisation's standards from any combination of process elements (steps).
